Khumbu Region

November-Not scheduled

Join Rare Earth Adventures on the trip of a lifetime to the Khumbu Region of Nepal. After two days in Kathmandu, we will all fly to Lukla and begin our trek to the Everest Base Camp via the Gokyo Valley.  We then trek back to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.  An optional climb of climb Island Peak is also available on the way back to Lukla.

This is a free-spirited trek, led by the owners of Rare Earth Adventures.   We are quite passionate regarding our trekking style.  We will stay in lodges, which will give us the opportunity to get to know the local people and support the local lodge owners.  Each client will have their own porter and we will ensure that porters are appropriately equipped.  There will be a maximum of ten clients and there will be two trip leaders from Rare Earth Adventures, plus a highly experienced Nepali guide.

For the Island Peak climb, we will meet our climbing Sherpa and support group at the Base Camp.  They will provide tents and meals during our climb.

We are aware of the situation that currently exists in Nepal.  However, we believe that by flying into Lukla and trekking in the road-less Khumbu region, we will avoid any problem area.

Trek: $3,000.00

Island Peak Option: Add $600.00

Includes four days in Kathmandu, all meals, accommodations, sightseeing tours, guides, porters, park fees, climbing permits, and flights between Kathmandu and Lukla.

A $500 deposit is required by August to reserve your space, with balance due in September.
